REFLECTION 1 - WHAT I GOT FROM "CRITICAL THINKING AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY" DISCUSSION

After discussing with my friends about critical thinking and digital technology, I got a lot of new things from this discussion. like what is critical thinking, why critical thinking is important, how technology affects critical thinking, and how important is digital technology for university students.

The first thing I know is what critical thinking is. Critical thinking means making reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out. It is a way of thinking in which not only accept all the arguments and conclusions faced but rather has an attitude that involves questioning those arguments and conclusions. Critical thinking can also be defined as the mindset that belongs to an individual not receiving raw information. It takes a mindset to evaluate and analyze the truth of the information.

secondly, I know that critical thinking is very important because Critical thinking is one of the most important academic skills that teach students to ask or reflect on their own understanding and knowledge about the information that has been presented to them. Critical thinking is especially important for students that have been given an assignment and have to perform deep research on the given topic. It also eventually helps in the workplace as well.

Third, I know how technology can influence critical thinking. Technology helps students move beyond sitting attentively and listening and promotes more hands-on learning. It affects critical thinking by helping students apply what they’ve learned to real-life situations and develop problem-solving skills – two essential elements of critical thinking. 

lastly, I know how important is digital technology for university students. Digital technology is very important for students because technology can help us as students become more efficient and flexible. for example, we don't need to come to campus to study and we can use google meet or zoom, and it's easier to find information if we use digital technology.
